Event is open to the
CAU community
MIAMI, FL - Carlos Albizu University’s Business Administration Department is sponsoring an Information Session by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The topics to be covered during this presentation are of particular interest to anyone interested in starting or growing their own business. Nancy Rackear, Marketing Executive for the U.S. Small Business Administration will present an overview of the agency’s programs including Counseling and Training, SBA Loan Programs, Disaster Assistance, Government Contracting and Advocacy. This presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is open to students, alumni and the community at large. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to Maritza Telleria at mtelleria@albizu.edu by June 9, as seating is limited.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of the country. The SBA helps Americans start, build and grow their businesses.

Founded in 1966, Carlos Albizu University (CAU) is a private university offering fully-accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in psychology, education and business. The University’s Business Administration department seeks to advance the quality of business education by preparing students to more effectively manage and lead modern, multicultural, diverse organizations.
