School Counseling The
School Counseling Major is designed for students who are seeking employment
in public or private school settings.
The comprehensive curriculum is designed to train guidance counselors who can
provide culturally relevant counseling and consultative interventions required
to meet the developmental, remedial and preventive needs of children.
Requirements for this degree include 42 academic credits,
7 Practicum credits, a cumulative grade point average of 3.00, and the successful
completion of the comprehensive examination.
